From October 6, 2017 - November 12, 2017, the New Mexico Chinese Lantern Festival will light up Expo New Mexico with light sculptures, exciting performances, and fun cultural experiences!

The New Mexico Chinese Lantern Festival features 30+ larger-than-life illuminated displays crafted by Chinese artisans. Our team of artisans hail from Zigong, Sichuan, China’s cultural capital for the ancient art of lantern-making.
In addition to lanterns, nightly performances, and handicrafts, the event will also offer food and beverages. Our menu includes a variety of Chinese and traditional fair food, as well as assorted beverages.
Sunday-Thursday: 6:30 PM & 8:00PM
Friday & Saturday: 6:30PM, 8:00 PM, & 9:00 PM
Performances are included in festival admission.
Where is this event being held and is there parking available?
The New Mexico Chinese Lantern Festival will be held at Expo New Mexico located at 300 San Pedro Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
Parking is available at Expo New Mexico.
Where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets will be available for purchase at the festival entrance or online.
What does the price of admission include?
Admission includes entry into the festival for viewing all lanterns, authentic Chinese performances, and handicraft demonstrations. Merchandise and food are sold separately.
Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
You may either buy tickets in advance online or at the entrance. To avoid ticket lines on more crowded days, it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance but it is not required.
Are there any discounts available?
Yes, on Monday nights we offer discounts to college students for $12 tickets. This discount tickets can only be purchased at the ticket booth and requires a student ID.
Senior and Military discount tickets are offered every night and can be purchased both online or at the ticket booth.
We offer group discounts to parties of 15 or more. Tickets discounted for groups cost $13 per adult and $8 per youth.

What are the festival hours?
The festival is open nightly from 5:30- to 10:00PM. The ticket booth opens at 5:00pm and closes at 9:30pm.
Will you be open the entire duration of the festival?
Yes, we will be open every night including holidays!
The festival may be cancelled or close early in case of inclement weather. Please check our website or social media page before you attend.
Is this an indoor or outdoor event?
All lantern displays are outdoor and it is a walk through experience.
Can I photograph the lanterns?
Photography of the displays and performances is allowed but please do not touch, climb on, or go over rope lines around displays.
By attending the event, you give permission to have your image and/or likeness reproduced for promotional and/or advertising purposes and/or by the media in print or digital formats.
What is your ticket policy?
Tickets can be purchased both online and at the door at the same price. Online tickets are good for any day during the festival and can be used once only. All ticket sales are final and no refund is provided. In case of inclement weather when the festival must be cancelled or close early, rain checks will be offered.
Can I reenter the festival on the same day if I must leave?
Yes, visitors can re-enter the festival on the same day by getting a hand stamp upon exiting the grounds.
Is everything cash only?
Of course not! We take both cash and credit at ticket booth, souvenir shops and food vendors. We will have ATMs available too.
Do I have to print my online ticket?
We can scan the ticket off your phone but it is recommended that you print your tickets. You can print it on both sides!
Is there anything I cannot bring to the festival?
No pets, large moving vehicles, or weapons will be allowed. The walking paths are wheelchair and stroller-friendly. Both wheelchairs and strollers are always allowed in the park.
Where can I buy tickets?
Besides getting tickets online and at the box office, we have small amount discount youth and adult tickets available at Chinese Culture Center (address: 427 Adams St SE, ALBUQUERQUE, NM 87108) and American Home Furniture (address: 3535 Menaul Blvd NE. Albuquerque, NM 87107)
Tickets are available online or at the door, no advance purchase is necessary.

$2 discount coupons are available by visiting the New Mexico Chinese Lantern Festival
exhibition at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
Veterans and active military personnel will receive a ½ price discount on November 10th with
a valid ID.
Discounted group rates are available for groups with 15 or more guests.
